International Waterjet Conference September 2004

The BHR Group's 17th International Conference on Water Jetting takes place in Mainz, Germany, 7-9 September 2004.

KMT Waterjet Systems, who are co-sponsoring the event with the International Society of Water Jet Technology, Waterjet Sweden, Boride and VLN, are organising industrial visits which are an integral part of the conference.

This year the conference chairman is Colin Gee of Gee Graphite, one of the UK's foremost exponents of waterjet cutting technology.

The conference was first held in 1972 and brings together the world's leading specialists in water jetting technology.

Papers will be presented by worldwide specialists which highlight new applications and technical developments of water jetting as well as advances in equipment capabilities.

The conference provides a forum to present and discuss the many industrial applications of water jetting as well as the latest research and development.

Accompanying manufacturer exhibitions stands will underline the potential applications of water jetting throughout all industries.

A strong theme this year is how water jetting technology can provide help in solving environmental problems through cleaning, recycling and decommissioning applications.

"There are new challenges for suppliers and users of water jetting technology and this conference will address these," says Colin Gee of Gee Graphite.

The industrial visit element of the conference will include a visit to the KMT Waterjet Systems manufacturing facility at Bad Nauheim, near Mainz.

Here, delegates will be able to see demonstrations of the applications of the latest waterjet cutting technology.
