New Ingersoll Rand compressors on show
Axeco to show new Ingersoll Rand compressors and light compaction equipment at SAIE 2006.
At SAIE 2006, Turin-based Axeco, the authorised distributor in Italy for the Utility Equipment range from Ingersoll Rand, will be exhibiting on its stand a selection of Ingersoll Rand "E" compressors and light compaction equipment.
Providing free air deliveries of 2.5 and 3.0 m3/min at output pressures of 7 bar, respectively, the new 7/26E and 7/31E portable compressors will be shown for the first time at SAIE.
Based on a redesigned common platform, the 7/26E and 7/31E models offer several important features and options not previously available for these models.
Other developments include an increased run time due to the use of a new 50 litre fuel tank.
Demonstrating Ingersoll Rand's commitment to protecting the environment, one of the most important new options is a 'bunded base'.
For environmental safety, the new bunded base option provides a fully contained base to ensure that all operating fluids (fuel, oil and water) stay within the compressor.
Other options, such as the generator, aftercooler, overspeed valve, spark arrestor and twin toolbox that were only available previously on the 7/31, are now available on both of the new compressor models.
In addition, customers can choose an optional control panel providing much more comprehensive information with additional fault signals.
A new lower cost version of the 7/31E without brakes (<750 kg) is also available.
Covering a wide variety of compaction applications, the Ingersoll Rand Utility Equipment range now boasts a comprehensive selection of light compaction products, including rammers, plates and walk-behind double drum rollers.
Axeco will be showing the Honda-powered RX-344H Upright Rammer, designed for efficient compaction of a wide range of soils from mixed and cohesive types to heavy clay in backfilling and narrow trench compaction applications.
With a weight of 72 kg and providing an impact force of 12.7 kN at 600-650 bpm, the RX-344H rammer combines a low profile with a low centre of gravity.
Alongside the RX-344H rammer will be the BX-80WH Single Direction Vibratory Plate Compactor, which is ideal for efficiently compacting granular soils and crushed aggregates using a large, durable plate with ratcheting throttle control for manoeuvring around obstacles.
Weighing 90 kg, the BX-80WH has an impact force of 18.0 kN, a compaction depth of 35 cm and operates at 5600 vpm.
Completing the display of light compaction equipment will be the DX-700E Double Drum Roller.
The standard water sprinkler system makes this unit ideal for compaction of hot mix asphalt as well as granular soils or aggregates.
Optimum performance is ensured by the right combination of centrifugal force (20.0 kN), static weight (742 kg), drum diameter (404 mm), rolling width (650 mm) and frequency (3300 vpm).
Through Axeco in Italy, Ingersoll Rand also offers two other Single Direction Vibratory Plates - the BX-60WH and BX-120WH models - and a Reversible Vibratory Plate - the BXR-100H.
In addition, the range includes the RX-264H rammer and the DX-500E Walk-Behind Double Drum Roller.
