IES launch UK Dynamic Simulation EPC

An Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 13, 2008

Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) v5.9 greatly enhanced its package for energy conservation Building Regulations in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

With the addition of UK DSM EPC (Dynamic Simulation Model Energy Performance Certificate) and Eire BER (Building Energy Rating) capabilities IES now offers the following accredited solutions:.

- England and Wales Part L2A (non-dwellings - SBEM and DSM).

- N Ireland Part F (non-dwellings - SBEM and DSM).

- England and Wales and N.

Ireland EPCs (non-dwellings - SBEM and DSM).

- Scotland Section 6, including EPCs (non-dwellings - SBEM and DSM).

- Eire Part L (non-dwellings - SBEM/NEAP*).

- Eire BERs (non-dwellings - SBEM/NEAP*).

IES is unique in offering such complete coverage of the different CO2 emission and energy performance Building Regulation requirements for all regions of the UK and Republic of Ireland.

In addition, as everything is undertaken from a central 3D model of the 'real' building, data input is straight forward, the impact of design changes can be looked at easily and compliance can be assessed alongside other performance parameters.

Our VE-DSM software also offers the added flexibility of being able to incorporate the impact of solar shading and natural ventilation where appropriate.

Another added advantage is that IES auto generates the required Notional, Reference and Typical buildings directly from the central 'real' building model, saving time and making the whole process much less onerous.

v5.9 of the incorporates the final NCM guidance having passed all the required tests and has been validated as approved software by CLG (Communities and Local Government).

Training, examinations and links with leading Accreditation Schemes in the different regions mean that it is easy for IES users to prove software competency and become Accredited Energy Assessors/Certifiers.

In addition, as the regulations and guidance change IES's team of developers continually updates the software to make sure that IES users can always comply with confidence.

IES has also updated the Compliance and Training sections of its website to include comprehensive guidance on our compliance software solutions, training and links with Accreditation Schemes for each region of the UK and Republic of Ireland.
