All four constituents are supplied in small and convenient contractor-friendly units and it is the only reinstatement process in the market place that does not currently demand application by specialist contractors.
In addition, when correctly installed it is guaranteed for a full five years providing unrivalled reassurance for both contractors and Authorities.
The system comprises of Instarmac's Ultracrete PY4 polyester mortar, Ultracrete QC10 backfill concrete, Ultracrete SCJ sealant and Ultracrete Instant Road Repair (IRR) cold lay macadam.
Ultracrete PY4 mortar conforms to the DTI Design Manual for Roads and Bridges; Mortars for Bedding Ironwork HA 104/02 - which states that the tensile strength of a mortar should exceed 5 N/mm2 in 3 hours and achieve a compressive strength of 30 N/mm2 in 3 hours.
In fact, PY4 mortar exceeds the requirement and is also compliant with ironwork conforming to BS EN 124.
Ultracrete Instant Road Repair (IRR) cold lay macadam is also BBA/Hapas Class 2 approved.
The need for such quality materials and systems with which to carry out essential road maintenance has never been greater.
Highway ironwork reinstatement is currently worth in excess of GBP 250m per annum and the anticipated expansion in traffic volume, which has grown by over 135% in the last thirty years (source: Dtp) can mean only one thing; the figure will continue to rise.
The public demand and expect smooth unfaltering performance from the UK's road and highway network.
Instarmac's newly BBA approved Ironwork Reinstatement System will go a long way toward providing it.
