Astley Tiling has completed the installation of brand new floor tiling to the showroom areas of dealerships in Swinton and York, using materials from the Instarmac Group plc.

As part of Toyota's retail showroom upgrading programme, Middleton, Manchester based contractor Astley Tiling has completed the installation of brand new floor tiling to the showroom areas of dealerships in Swinton and York, using materials from the Instarmac Group plc Toyota's dealership at Clifton Moore Gate, York, was one of the first to be renovated

Several hundred square metres of 400mm x 400mm ceramic tiles has been laid at the two showrooms using Instarmac's UltraProRapid RS, a rapid set, high strength adhesive to fix the floor tiles and Instarmac's UltraFloorGrout to grout between the joints.

Versatile UltraProRapid RS adhesive is specifically designed to fix natural stone, porcelain and ceramic tiles in situations where exceptional bond strength and rapid setting are essential; such as shopping centres, as well as car showrooms.

UltraFloorGrout is formulated to grout ceramic and mosaic floor tiles at joint widths of between 1mm and 20mm.

Toyota, the world's third largest vehicle manufacturer and currently at the heart of global manufacturing, has granted finance for showroom makeovers at many of its UK dealerships.

The top priority, however, is to ensure little or no disruption or inconvenience is caused to customers.

The company therefore sought a commercial flooring contractor that could complete the showroom refurbishment in as short space of time as possible and to the standard required.

The ease of application and rapid setting properties of the Ultra materials helped ensure that the contractor was able to comply.

Astley Tiling normally specialise in the renovation of commercial dwellings and has used the Ultra range of professional tile adhesive and grout materials for a number of years.

The company's project portfolio includes high profile clients such as LK Bennets, Vision Express, Massarella Cafe Bars and other car dealerships.

A spokesman for the company commented "In the past we have tried so many different tile adhesives and grouts and none have exceeded the quality and performance of Ultra materials".

"Previously used materials were of 'chewing gum' consistency, which prompted us to seek another material supplier".

"Luckily we came across the Ultra range".

"As well as being of a smooth and creamy consistency, they make application easier and much quicker, resulting in faster completion times".

Further information regarding the trials can be obtained from The Instarmac Group plc.
