INCA awards presented at new build
seminar
INCA Andy Swan new build awards presented at new build seminar
The INCA Andy Swan 2005 Awards for the best use of external wall insulation in new build applications, were presented at a Seminar, sponsored by the Insulated Render and Cladding Association, and held at the Building Centre, London recently Speaking at the Seminar were Ivor Dring, of DRP Architects, who described Wellend Villas, Brighton, the winning project in the affordable homes category; John Balman, of Carey Jones Architects, who discussed Magellan House, Leeds, the runner-up in the private residential apartments category; Mark Swindells, of SPE Architecture , who spoke about the Multi-Faith Centre, Derby, winner in the public buildings category; Russell Harris, project manager and owner of Lymm Water Tower, winner of the private house category; and Alan Thomas, British Board of Agrement, who spoke of the partnership between that body and the external wall insulation industry

Over 90 delegates attended the Seminar, including architects, builders, registered social landlords and the external wall insulation industry.
They were able to view an exhibition of systems alongside the Seminar.
The Association will be holding a refurbishment Seminar in the Autumn and those interested in applying external wall insulation for refurbishment purposes may apply to attend.
