Drayton Heating Controls' new Digistat+ combines total and accurate temperature control with familiar, simple to use technology.
This has been achieved by combining a conventional tactile dial control, which can be altered in 1oC settings, and an easy-to-read digital screen which displays actual room temperature.
The Digistat+ provides both audible and visual feedback for users and the temperature display is situated above the dial, and therefore the hand, for ease of reading.
The tactile dial is also easy to manipulate.
A clever, one-touch set-back feature also allows homeowners to maximise energy savings and save money on fuel bills.
The set-back feature has a preset lower temperature, which can be selected by the installer and activated at the push of a button for periods when the heating is not required.
The heating can then be returned to its previous temperature when required by another simple push of a button, restoring comfort levels within the home.
"As with most systems in our homes these days, heating control technology has become more sophisticated and now allows homeowners to have much greater control over their central heating," explained Llinos Jonathan, head of marketing, Drayton Heating Controls.
"However, for some homeowners, this actually discourages them from installing controls as they perceive the technology to be too complicated.
Our new Digistat+, however, has been specifically designed with ease of use in mind and is perfect for those homeowners who want simple controls or are considering installing them for the first time and want to save energy.
"There are also additional benefits for installers as it is simple to install and straightforward to program, so hopefully there will be no need for time-consuming call backs".
The Digistat+ can also be configured on installation with both a minimum and maximum temperature setting, making it ideal for vulnerable users such as the elderly.
The battery powered Digistat+ has a temperature range of 5 - 30oC and has been designed for fixed wiring only to comply with IEE regulations.
It is suitable for surface or conduit box mounting.
