Another Solution For Insulated Pipework

An IPPEC Systems product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 17, 2003

INSUPEX pre-insulated PEX pipes, introduced last year by IPPEC, the lightweight plastic pipes save time and money when installed in ground or cold voids compared with jointed metal pipes.

The PEX pipe with its insulation and conduit is of the highest quality.

For instance the insulation is made of cross linked polyethylene which gives high insulation value yet is flexible and light.

The double wall conduit protects the insulation and the pipe.

A full range of pipes in diameters ranging from 25 to 110 mm o/d is available from stock.

Insupex pre-insulated pipes are available in a single or twin pipe format and up to 50 mm o/d.

The pipe can be ordered to a specific length.

Corresponding end fittings are in stock too.

Sometimes known as district heating pipe, Insupex complements IPPEC's PEXAPIPE pipe in pipe primaries for transferring hot water from boiler to distribution point.

A good example is supplying Heating water from boiler room to PEXATHERM manifold for underfloor heating in various parts of the building.

The continuous plastic pipe in pipe is far easier and cheaper to lay in the floor than conventional jointed metal pipes in the ceiling.
