Specifiers and landscapers can now turn to the new 'green' decking is produced by i-plas, when it becomes exceptionally versatile with a multitude of appealing properties.

i-plas doesn't rot; split or splitter meaning it will out perform and outlast decking made from wood, which is an important safety consideration for walkways which might experience a large amount of footfall.

The material can be cut and worked with largely in exactly the same way as wood, so installing the decking is just as easy.

It is virtually maintenance free and unlike timber requires no preservatives, staining or varnishing.

Play areas, marinas, pontoons, walkways, balconies and bridges can all be made from the material which will reduce the carbon footprint of any project.

Howard Waghorn, Managing Director of i-plas, said, "Decking made from i-plas provides a superb level of performance, with an exceptionally long life-cycle".

"The material looks almost similar to wood and is proving very popular because it is made from 100 per cent recycled materials".

"Piers, walkways, garden decking and bridges are all being specified with the material and we believe that demand for recycled building materials such as i-plas will continue to expand".
