Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 23, 2008

Ironmongery Direct launches Handlx, a new temporary door handle that is quick and easy to install.

Handlx eliminates the need for using screwdrivers or handles in doors on building products.

It is designed to be used from the beginning of the door installation process up until the final handle is ready to be added.

This temporary door handle consists of two identical parts which are led through the lock case from each side of the door and fastened together by a snap-function which acts as a door handle.

Handlx prevents any potential damage to the door and permanent ironmongery while building work is being carried out, allowing the door to be painted without fear of damaging expensive door handles.

Handlx also prevents tradesmen from accidentally locking themselves in or out of rooms can simply be removed and recycled after demounting, along with other recyclable plastics.
