Marples Keeps Chiseling Its Way To The Top
Irwin Industrial Tool Company, the country's leading manufacturer of hand tools and power tool accessories, has made two new additions to its Marples range of next generation chisels.
Using two integrated fixing pins, it can be used on practically any surface including aircrete blocks, plaster, plasterboard, timber and fibreboard.
The Laser Line Generator is far quicker and more convenient than traditional plumb lines and is easy for users to operate alone without the need for a second person.
The new Strait-Line, Swivel Base and non-marring 3M, technology adhesive pads increase the application possibilities of the Laser Line Generator, allowing it to be used on any surface, even those such as metal, unsuitable for fixing pins.
The 360 degree rotation of the Swivel Base means lines can be marked at different angles and its unique tilting feature allows the density of the line to be enhanced and its length to be increased by up to 80%.
The Strait-Line, Stud Finder detects hidden wood and metal studs within plasterboard walls at a depth of up to 38mm.
This innovative device, which uses the latest chip technology (ASICS Chip), can be operated independently or with the popular Laser Line Generator.
The final addition to Irwin's electronic tool range is the new Strait-Line, Sonic Measure, a fast and efficient estimating tool that offers an innovative alternative to steel tape measures.
It gives a laser targeted measure for distances from 60cm - 15m (2-50 feet), with an accuracy of +/- 0.5%.
With a simple 'point and press' function and a liquid crystal display, the Sonic Measure can also record and memorise length, width or volume at the press of a button.
Moreover, it can quickly convert from imperial to metric and back again, offering exceptional speed in use.
