Marples Keeps Chiseling Its Way To The Top
Irwin Industrial Tool Company, the country's leading manufacturer of hand tools and power tool accessories, has made two new additions to its Marples range of next generation chisels.
A unique bronze brazing paste also ensures the perfect bond between tip and body.
Brazed at 1000 degrees C, the paste has a melting point of 920degrees C, meaning the drill bit can actually become red hot without damage to the carbide tip.
Irwin's innovative masonry drill bit features a patented ground double flute ensuring the fast and efficient removal of annoying drill dust, which enables a much cleaner work surface and greater visibility on the job.
Furthermore, the flute is ground rather than rolled, creating added accuracy and is completed with a professional blasted surface finish.
Produced using a Chrome Vanadium Steel (CVS) compound, the Irwin masonry drill bit is hardened to approximately 50-53 HRC for maximum rupture strength.
Irwin's research proves that CVS contains more Carbon compared to the Chrome Nickel Steel used by Irwin's competitors, ensuring Irwin's offering is the strongest on the market.
Ian McLaren, Trade Marketing Manager for Irwin commented: "The new range of masonry drill bits are specifically designed with maximum strength and versatility in mind.
Research has proven that professionals are more likely to use a product that gives them increased performance thus saving them time, money and effort in the process".
