Marples Keeps Chiseling Its Way To The Top
Irwin Industrial Tool Company, the country's leading manufacturer of hand tools and power tool accessories, has made two new additions to its Marples range of next generation chisels.
Already taking the industry by storm, these exclusive Irwin Turbomax drill bits are primarily designed for drilling metal, but perform exceedingly well in all types of wood and plastics.
A new self-centring point enables a clean, fast start with no need for centre punching.
The Jet Point Tip is also CBN ground (Cubic Boron Nitride) meaning Irwin's durable Turbomax drill bit stays sharper for longer, producing more holes than any other conventional drill bit on the market.
Tradesman no longer need to worry when drilling irregular holes, as the special shoulder design of the Irwin Turbomax provides clean exit holes and also guarantees perfectly round holes when drilling sheet metal.
Furthermore, the flute is ground rather than rolled creating higher accuracy during drilling and computer designed cutting edges drill three time faster than any other drill bit in its class.
The Turbomax drill bit body is hardened to 64 Rockwell C.
and forged from Molybdenum alloyed High Speed Steel ensuring far greater resistance to heat than conventional drill bits.
Further enhancing safety, a three flat shank has been introduced to ensure stability, which prevents the drill bit from spinning in the chuck and causing injury to the user.
In true Irwin fashion, the Turbomax is also finished off perfectly, with an aesthetically pleasing black lower body and golden flute look that truly resonates professionalism.
Ian McLaren, Trade Manager for Irwin commented: "The research undertaken to produce the Turbomax just goes to show the lengths Irwin goes to reach new technological prowess in the drilling environment".
"The development of these specialist drill bits significantly improves the overall performance of drilling, saving time, money and effort in the process".
"From tip to shank the Turbomax high-speed drill bit is a shining example of what every professional has come to expect from Irwin.".
