New Structural Polyurethane Adhesive

Inseto have added a new fast curing Polyurethane adhesive from Delo to its Structural Adhesive range.

The Adhesives Division of Inseto has introduced a newly developed structural polyurethane adhesive from Delo.

Inseto's Adhesives Division provides bonding solutions to the UK and Ireland's manufacturing industry that demand technically advanced bonding.

These include automotive, aerospace, military, telecommunications, audio, electronic and smart-card industries.

The PUR is a Black, two part mineral filled adhesive, which offers an initial handling strength of 1 2 MPa after 10 minutes and 15 MPa after 24 hours, although curing can be accelerated dramatically with the introduction of heat.

It can be used in temperatures from 40 degrees C to +100 degrees C and has excellent chemical stability.

It has tough elastic properties and offers good strength under static and dynamic conditions.

The adhesive is also suitable for large gaps due to high run resistance.

The product is available in 200ml Automix double cartridges and also part A and B 25kg drums for larger volume applications using dispense systems.

Pneumatic Dispense guns for the 200ml cartridges are also available from Inseto.

The adhesive was developed for a specific application but the potential of the product was quickly realised and is now being qualified in several varied manufacturing fields including: Automotive, Ship Building and Wind Turbines.
