ISG InteriorExterior has secured a GBP1.75 million scheme with The Royal College of Surgeons of England at its Lincoln's Inn Fields HQ near Holborn, London.

The project to upgrade facilities at the training college sees the creation of a new state-of-the-art surgical teaching suite and is part of the institution's wider 'Eagle Project', which aims to transform the College into a national centre of excellence for surgical education, training and assessment by 2010.

The project sees ISG InteriorExterior rationalise space within the College to create the high specification surgical teaching suite, which replaces an existing facility within the building, as well as forming a range of ancillary support rooms.

The contractor will fit out the suite to exacting clinical standards, with a solid resin floor and suspended ceilings.

Featuring the very latest AV technology, the new suite will enable students to replicate complicated procedures performed by tutors - translating into a large mechanical and electrical component within the works package.

The project is due for completion by April 2007.

Steve Trotter, Managing Director of ISG InteriorExterior commented: "Substantial investment in its facilities sees the Royal College of Surgeons committed to its goal of becoming the leading centre of excellence within the UK.

This latest project represents an important phase of this planned expansion and ISG InteriorExterior is working closely with the institution as it moves towards its ambitious targets.".
