Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 24, 2007

Isomass is a brand new acoustic flooring company has been launched to serve the newbuild, conversion and refurbishment sectors.

Isomass , is headed by co-directors David Bignell and Iain Mair, who are well known within this market.

Technical sales director, Iain Mair said: " David and I have been serving the acoustic floor market for many years and decided it was time to offer our knowledge out to those most in need".

"Most builders are not given the correct or full information to enable them to pass the mandatory sound tests".

"In conjunction with the use of our products, we are happy to offer over 25 years' worth of practical knowledge free of charge to any builder on any site, no matter how small the project".

Isomass have developed a complete product range which includes both overlay and direct-to-joists systems, as well as under and over-screed methods.

All base-floor types are catered for, including concrete, timber frame and traditional floorboarding.

Isomass have tailored their products to suit each situation, rather than applying a 'one size fits all' approach, which may not always provide the best results.

Iain said: " All our resilient layers have been carefully selected to provide not only the best performance but also to satisfy the growing need for an eco-conscious build, wherever possible".

Exhaustive testing by NHBC Noise Consultancy (UKAS accredited) has established a comprehensive, high performance range of UK-made acoustic flooring solutions.
