ISG secure GBP4.7 million project to build a new 102 room Express by Holiday Inn hotel in Burnley, Lancashire for client, Starboard Hotels.

Occupying a key strategic site in the town, the new hotel is bordered by Pendle Way and the M65 motorway and provides high quality air conditioned guest bedrooms as well as incorporating a range of meeting room facilities for business users Work has now commenced on the construction of the four-storey building, which comprises a ground floor steel frame structure and pre-cast concrete upper floors

A key feature of the new hotel is the large open plan 'Great Room', with dining facilities and a licensed bar.

Externally, the hotel has a modern contemporary design with a range of architectural finishes to its facade, including rain screen cladding, brickwork and curtain walling.

ISG will carry out a range of hard and soft landscaping works at the site and create a large car park for guests, with the project scheduled for completion by summer 2008.
