ISG success with Battersea office scheme
ISG has commenced work on an GBP8.5 million project for developer Helical Bar Plc, to construct a new high specification commercial office building at Battersea Studios in South London.
The new five-storey structure will be built on a plot adjacent to a fully operational television broadcasting studio, providing flexible office accommodation in an enviable business location.
The development represents ISG's first project for Helical Bar, who are advised by Quantem Consulting LLP on the scheme.
The 50,000 sq ft concrete frame building, designed by architects Barr Gazetas, has a flexible format enabling the office to be let as a single unit, by each floor, or by up to 10 lets per individual floor.
The office block boasts exposed ceilings to create a media studio feel to the new development, with ISG installing raised access floors and fitting out the building to a Cat A standard.
Externally, the building will feature a range of facade treatments including curtain walling and Sto render, with the project scheduled for completion by the end of November 2008.
Steve Trotter, managing director of ISG commented: "The addition of Helical Bar to our expanding portfolio of high calibre property clients highlights our desire to work with the most influential businesses across the UK.
As ISG continues to diversify its service offering and geographical scope we are increasingly looking to cement strong partnerships with key brands to deliver consistently outstanding results.".
