Totty Wins Manchester School Dance Studio Project

An ISG plc product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 15, 2004

Totty Building Services, the special projects division of Totty Construction, has won a £221k project to construct a new dance studio at Parswood Technology College in Manchester.

Totty will install a mezzanine floor in the college's existing sports hall building to create the new 2,000sq ft studio.

Constructed on a new structural steel frame within the sports hall, the wooden dance floor will rest on a resilient cushioned layer above the concrete mezzanine floor.

The project also includes the installation of mechanical and electrical (M and E) equipment and the construction of a new steel fire escape.

The 12 week project, commencing at the end of June, has been scheduled to coincide with the summer term holiday to minimise disruption for staff and pupils.
