Totty Building Services has been awarded a project by St Helens Council to carry out general refurbishment at the Audit Block Office within the Town Hall.

Totty Building Services has been awarded a £380K project by St Helens Council to carry out general refurbishment at the Audit Block Office within the Town Hall.

The scheme will see Totty upgrade office accommodation across two floors of the building in a phased programme, which will enable staff to remain in occupation throughout the works.

Totty will rationalise space within the existing offices, install new suspended ceilings and partition walls, carry out general decoration and update floor finishes throughout.

The project also includes a significant external works programme, with Totty repairing or replacing 18 box-sliding sash windows to the front elevation of the grade II listed Town Hall building, in addition to the construction of a new steel fire escape.

The programme is scheduled for completion by mid-October.

Philip Ryder, managing director of Totty Building Services, commented: "The company continues to secure an increasing volume of work from the public sector by consistently delivering high quality projects on time and within budget".

"Totty is building on its longstanding relationships with Local Authorities across the north of England as we look to target an even greater share of the available building contracts.".
