ISG Totty Building has secured its latest public sector project in the North-West - a GBP750K contract with Bolton Hospitals NHS Trust.

ISG Totty Building has secured its latest public sector project in the North-West - a GBP750K contract with Bolton Hospitals NHS Trust to build a new Children's Assessment Unit at the Accident and Emergency (A and E) department of the Royal Bolton Hospital.

Work has now commenced on the construction of a single-storey extension at the hospital to house the new unit, which will treat over 20,000 children and young people who visit A and E annually.

The facility will feature a reception, six treatment rooms, four assessment and observation beds, a resuscitation area, plus a waiting and play area.

ISG Totty will also reconfigure and rationalise space in the existing A and E department, with the entire project being carried out in a live environment, as the busy hospital remains in full operation throughout the works programme.

Philip Ryder, managing director of ISG Totty Building, commented: "The company has a strong track record in the successful delivery of complex projects carried out in operationally challenging conditions".

"By working closely with the Royal Bolton Hospital, we have developed a robust programme of works that enables us to work effectively to build this essential new resource, whilst minimising disruption to the critical day to day operation of the hospital.".
