ISG Totty Building continues successful relationship with Kirklees Council, following award of GBP440K project to create new Area Housing Office in Huddersfield.

ISG Totty Building continues its successful relationship with Kirklees Council, following the award of a GBP440K project to create a new Area Housing Office in Huddersfield.

Kirklees Council has designed the new office to be a true one stop shop, providing a comprehensive range of services and facilities for social housing residents, located conveniently within the centre of town.

The project sees ISG Totty Building convert an existing three-storey shop and office building on New Street.

The contractor will replace the existing shop front and carry out minor demolition works within the building, reconfigure the space and carry out a comprehensive refurbishment programme and upgrade mechanical and electrical services throughout.

Once completed, the building will feature a public area on the ground floor, with reception area and meeting rooms.

Staff areas and offices will be located on the second and third floors, alongside new welfare facilities and the project is due for completion in March.

Philip Ryder, managing director of ISG Totty Building, commented: "The company has started 2007 very strongly, with a number of high profile project wins for public sector bodies throughout Yorkshire and the North-West".

"Our latest scheme with Kirklees Council highlights ISG Totty Building's ongoing commitment to forge longstanding and mutually beneficial partnerships with key regional institutions that consistently deliver the highest quality solution.".
