ISG Totty Building starts work on its first project under recently awarded four-year partnering framework deal with Manchester City Council.

ISG Totty Building has commenced work on its first project under a recently awarded four-year partnering framework deal with Manchester City Council.

The phased scheme, which has a total value of GBP830K, sees the contractor build an extension to increase classroom capacity at Newall Green Primary School in Wythenshawe.

The new single-storey extension will provide a link between two existing corridors and the school's main entrance and has been carefully designed to blend seamlessly with the existing building, with a brickwork facade and pitched tiled roof.

Providing accommodation for three additional classrooms and a new staff room, the extension utilises an environmentally friendly heat exchange system to regulate the internal temperature.

Philip Ryder, managing director of ISG Totty Building, commented: "The decision to establish a regional office in Manchester has proved a highly successful move for ISG Totty Building, underlining our commitment to north-west based clients".

"Our appointment to the Manchester City Council framework programme highlights the strength and depth of our public sector offering and gives the business an excellent springboard to grow our client base and sector diversity across the North of England.".
