ISG secure circa GBP2.1 million project with Sterling Capitol to construct new high specification commercial office building at Capitol Park in South Leeds.

The contractor is also currently working on the construction of a GBP15 million VILLAGE Hotel at the same site, situated off junction 28 of the M62 and forming a key strategic regional business location.

The new two-storey, steel frame structure has been designed to complement the existing buildings on the highly regarded office development, with a brick and glazed facade and standing seam metal roof.

A full height glazed atrium leads into the reception area, with the two floors of open plan office accommodation, approximately 1,000 sq m in area, fitted out to a Cat A standard, with raised access floors and suspended ceilings.

Externally, ISG will create bicycle storage and a car park, and also carry out a range of hard and soft landscaping finishes across the site.

The project is due to commence early in the New Year, with completion scheduled for October 2008.

Martin Croxen, chief executive of Sterling Capitol commented: "We are very excited about the new offices and the VILLAGE Hotel at Capitol Park in Morley".

"These will be tremendous bonuses for the development and takes the site well into the 21st Century".

"We are also delighted to be working with ISG Totty and look forward to fabulous results".

Paul Clarkson, regional construction director at ISG Totty Building, commented: "Increasing demand for high specification commercial office space around the Leeds area has generated keen interest in this latest phase of development at Capitol Park".

"Occupying an enviable location, facilities at Capitol Park will be further enhanced with the opening of the new hotel on site by summer 2008, providing a highly attractive business destination in south Leeds.".
