ISG wins Building Excellence awards

All Saints' Church of England Primary School in Bradford, built by ISG, has scooped a prestigious Local Authority Building Control Building Excellence Award.

ISG built the new school for City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

Fighting off stiff competition within the West Yorkshire education category, the school will now be considered for nomination in the National Excellence Awards, which are held later in the year.

The Local Authority Building Control (LABC) awards celebrate building excellence and projects are nominated by local authority Building Control Officers.

Within the West Yorkshire region, the judging panel of industry experts reviewed a range of educational schemes from across Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield, Bradford and Leeds, drawing up a shortlist of just three exceptional projects.

The awards not only highlight excellence within build quality and workmanship, but also reward an outstanding team approach, demonstrating positive, constructive engagement between the council, contractor, client, designer and end-user.

Hailed as best in category, the GBP4.6 million All Saints' Church of England Primary School represents a major investment by Bradford City Council and the Diocese of Bradford, to provide modern, high quality educational facilities within the city.

Designed by Robinson Architects, the environmentally sustainable two form entry school and nursery houses 14 large classrooms and also includes a range of community areas and an external covered play area.
