Nominations for the Geospatial Engineering Surveyor Award for 2004 are now being accepted by the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
Its membership has grown steadily in recent years and now boasts ten regions across the UK, in Ireland and Hong Kong and members worldwide.
The ICES offer a wide range of benefits customary with an established and reputable professional institution.
Such benefits include recognised professional qualifications available at colleges and universities, national conferences and seminars, regional events, in-house and external training courses, a bookshop, free advice on technical queries, monthly journal (Civil Engineering Surveyor), additional supplementary specialist literature and the opportunity to influence ICES committees and boards.
The ICES is an active member of the Construction Industry Council, having become the first non-chartered organisation admitted to the membership of this body in 1989, and demonstrates its commitment to Lifelong Learning through their membership of the Continuing Professional Development in Construction Group.
The Institution is a full member of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG).
In 1992 the ICES became an Associated Institution of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), forming together two boards; the Geospatial Engineering Board (GEB) and the Commercial Management Board (CMB).
