The Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) has published its latest programme of training courses and workshops for 2004, which includes six new course titles.

Geospatial Engineering Surveyor Award Nominations
Nominations for the Geospatial Engineering Surveyor Award for 2004 are now being accepted by the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
Whilst the Institution already offers a comprehensive range of training courses and workshops, its is conscious of the ever changing training and development needs of the profession due to changes in legislation, contractual forms, procurement methods, products and technology.
The ICES has therefore introduced a number of new subjects to its training courses portfolio, including: Site Safety Awareness and Preparation for the CSCS Health and Safety Test Contract Procurement Construction Risk Assessment and Method Statements Introduction to Adjudication, Mediation and Arbitration CDM Legislation - Compliance and Positive Benefits Also added to the training courses and workshop programme is a free course offering advice to members and non-members on how to apply for Corporate Membership of the ICES (course for commercial management and geospatial engineering surveying specialists).
This course will be available at venues across the Institution's UK regions and in Dublin, Ireland.
The Institution also welcomes a new member to its highly experienced team of course tutors, Paul Rowe FInstCES, who will be presenting one of the new courses, Contract Procurement.
Each training course and workshop represents value for money, with a low cost fee per delegate.
The courses are open to both ICES members and non-members, with Institution members qualifying for a discounted course fee.
