ICES Training Courses and Workshops
The Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors' (ICES) training course, Contract Procurement will run on Thursday 29th March at the Institution's Head Office training suite in Sale, Cheshire.
This one-day course is designed to provide graduates and professionals involved in commercial management and construction procurement with an introduction to contract procurement and its principles It will also look at the formation of contract and procurement formalities under the ICE, NEC and JCT forms

It will cover the following topics: Background and general principles Formation of contract including offer and acceptance, letters of intent, e-construction Procurement formalities under ICE, NEC and JCT forms for head contracts, subcontracts, service contracts, purchase order Several workshops providing examples of formation of contracts and procurement techniques will be interjected during the training period.
This one-day course is designed for quantity surveyors, estimators, planners, commercial managers and project managers, and is open to ICES members and non-members.
