What Light Switches Will Be Wearing This Summer!

An Intelliswitch product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 16, 2003

Pastels prove popular with homebuilding enthusiasts at NEC Show Pastels are this summer's 'hot' colours for light-switches.

That is the view of Coventry-based Touch 'N' Glo Ltd, manufacturer of the Intelliswitch intelligent touch control lightswitch, following overwhelming interest in its pastel-coloured switch inserts and covers at the National Homebuilding and Renovating Show at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre.

Fitted as a direct replacement for an existing switch, the Intelliswitch uniquely offers a 'touch control' on/off dimmer lightswitch, with options to include energy-saving, nightlight and/or automatic on/off security functions.

Available with a range of interchangeable coloured inserts and snap-on overplates compatible with any room d?cor (www.intelliswitch.co.uk), it is the pastel shades which are set to be adorning the homes of style-conscious buyers this year.

Marketing Manager for Intelliswitch, Giles Hudson, commented: "Whilst we offer inserts and covers in 22 different colours, the pastel shades proved most popular among show visitors." "Current research suggests that pastel-based d?cor is very much coming back into favour and with Intelliswitch, there is no reason for light switches to miss out! As well as being great looking light switches, they also perform useful functions relating to energy saving and security, so demand for the different switches is continuing to grow nationwide." He continued: "As well as the plastic inserts and covers, the range of metal finishes (plain brass, roped-edged brass and chrome) means there are literally hundreds of combinations to suit every look." Each switch comes with a 10-year warranty and is quality assured to BS EN ISO 9001 standards.

Multi-function one and two-gang switches and slave switches for two-way switching are also available.
