A flatplate lightswitch which sits just 1.5mm proud of the wall is being launched by Intelliswitch under the brand name, 'The Switch', as part of two new intelligent touch-control lightswitches.

Complementing the company's existing switch ranges, the flatplate switches fit standard back boxes for ease of fitting The on/off dimmer lightswitches are available in five variants: Standard, Energy Saver, Automatic, Nightlight and Slave (2-Way), with the Double switch undergoing final testing prior to release

Available in four finishes (chrome, brushed chrome, Victorian brass and brushed brass), 'The Switch' products are aesthetically pleasing and compatible with any decor.

The brass switches feature attractive ivory inserts, while the chrome versions are finished with black inserts.

For custom orders, the switches can also be manufactured with inserts in other colours, chosen from the company's extensive colour range.

Each switch has an LED light built in (for easy location of the switch in the dark) and is finished with a high quality metal plate, manufactured by switch plate market leader, Hamilton Litestat.

Also from Intelliswitch is a new Slimline switch range (only 4mm off the wall), a lifestyle plastic range and a conventional metal plate range which has been re-launched as the 'Classic, with a new slimmer housing and enhanced faceplate.

'The Switch' from Intelliswitch combines touch-control technology, significantly extended bulb life (through an attractive 'soft start' feature) and a number of other practical, user-friendly functions in an attractive unit.

Capable of handling up to 400 watts, the switches are suitable for a wide variety of light bulbs.
