'Secure' Deal With Major Household Alarm Installer

A major order for 'Automatic Timer' on/ off dimmer lightswitches is seeing the switches, from Coventry-based Intelliswitch, being offered alongside state-of-the-art home security systems.

Homeguard Security of Gildersome, near Leeds, has taken a consignment of the touch-control intelligent lightswitches which are being made available to the company's customers of high-specification alarm systems for an initial trial period.

The company's belief in the potential of this unique product is such that Homeguard Director, Stuart Roundhill, is considering stocking the switches on an ongoing basis as a complementary product to the alarm systems the company already supplies.

He explained: "Intelliswitch products have excellent potential within the home security market as they not only perform the function of a traditional dimmer lightswitch, but also can be set to automatically turn on and off at any time of the day or night, so giving the impression that there is someone in the house and thus deterring would-be burglars".

Containing no moving parts, they are easy to install and do not require any modification to existing back boxes.
