iTSHOWCASE Live opens its doors to the the Scottish architecture, engineering and construction industry.
"We have been looking for sometime at methods of how to improve all aspects of our operation and we wanted a solid platform to bring together all facets of the Company's operations associated with project delivery".
"Workspace will provide a complete cradle-to-grave system and deliver great opportunities to improve internal collaboration, control and communication".
Matt Harper, Haymills IT Manager believes that in the future the system will provide the core of their office systems: "We have a sophisticated accounting system, but it's too expensive and cumbersome to be rolled out to everyone".
"We required an internal system that could be deployed quickly and to any of our people or partners using the Internet".
"Initially, we are deploying the project elements of the product, including RFI Management, Change Control, Drawings Management and Content Management".
"We expect some significant efficiency gains to be realised in the initial rollout".
"In time we will be growing the system to encompass enquiries and marketing - but that will come later".
To begin with the system will be utilised in the London region, but its use is expected to grow rapidly into the other operational areas within the South and South East of England.
After an extensive trawl of the market Harper is keen to get on with the trial: "I first saw Workspace at its launch some time ago, since then its come a long way, and we can't wait to start using it".
