GoodWood flooring sustainable Australian hardwood
Manufactured by leading Australian timber processor, ITC Timber, GoodWood flooring stock is sourced from Australian Forestry Standard (AFS) certified resources.
With today's consumer evermore conscious of the environmental issues and the sustainability of our global timber resource, it is reassuring to both the flooring contractor and customer that GoodWood flooring ensures both a stylish and responsible choice.
"Customers are assured the timber is supplied on a controlled, environmentally responsible and sustainable basis," said ITC Group Marketing and Communications Manager, Michael Clark.
He said that in further support of this commitment, ITC Timber recently achieved Chain of Custody certification under the Australian Forestry Standard for its Tasmanian timber processing operations and is close to achieving certification for its Victorian operations.
"The AFS, mutually recognised by the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), Chain of Custody certification means that GoodWood products can be tracked from origin to end-use, assuring customers that these products are sustainably produced".
Mr Clark noted the GoodWood flooring range featured hardwood species, Eucalyptus delegatensis, regnans and obliqua, available in 19mm strip flooring and 21mm stadium flooring sizes, as well as a 14mm overlay.
GoodWood Australian hardwood is a visually stimulating natural material, ranging from pale pink to pale straw and light nut brown tones with pink undertones.
The GoodWood flooring range readily accepts any paint or stain, ensuring freedom and flexibility in creating the desired finish.
Mr Clark added that features and benefits of GoodWood flooring include strength, durability, being quarter sawn for dimensional stability and flexibility with a range of applications.
"GoodWood flooring is known for both its high quality, and consistency".
"It can be refinished after years of use back to its original beauty.
