Jackson Building Services has been appointed by Morley Fund Management to carry out a GBP450K retail project in Southend-On-Sea, Essex.

Jackson Building Services has been appointed by Morley Fund Management to carry out a GBP450K retail project in Southend-On-Sea, Essex The scheme, at the Airport Business Park, is the first project Jackson Building Services has carried out for the asset management specialist as it reviews its national retail portfolio

The contractor will be tasked with converting an existing large format retail unit into two smaller outlets.

Jackson will install a metal stud partition wall within the building to divide it in two and carry out enhancements to the existing entrance.

A partial mezzanine floor will be constructed within one of the new units and a lift pit formed for a lift installation.

The project is scheduled for completion by April 2006.

Michael Manning, construction director for Jackson Building Services, commented: "Enhancements to existing retail parks, reflecting the changing mix of tenants attracted to these out-of-town locations, represents a growing market for Jackson Building Services".
