Upgrade work at Ipswich town hall
Jackson Building Services, the special projects division of Jackson Construction, has secured a GBP 1.4 million contract to upgrade Ipswich Town Hall for Ipswich borough Council.
(The picture shows work to install the new lift).
Jackson Building Services has also installed disabled platforms and access ramps, created a new disabled toilet, constructed a steel frame plant room at roof level and installed new mechanical and electrical (MandE) systems at the ground floor level.
As the project has involved working below the foundations of the existing buildings, the company has underpinned and installed new steel support beams to form a new entrance and open plan offices.
