ISG Jackson Special Projects is continuing partnership with Orbit Group with the commencement a social housing scheme in North Walsham, Norfolk.

ISG Jackson Special Projects is continuing its longstanding partnership with the Orbit Group, one of the UK's largest housing associations, with the commencement of its latest project - an GBP800K social housing scheme in North Walsham, Norfolk Working together for over 15 years, the relationship has led to the construction of hundreds of affordable homes throughout the South of England and the introduction of innovative construction techniques to produce more sustainable and environmentally friendly homes

The commencement of the scheme at North Walsham, sees ISG Jackson Special Projects building seven new timber frame homes, in both two and three bedroom configurations, on the development site just off Sadlers Way.

The timber frames for the new buildings are manufactured off-site and delivered ready for immediate installation, which dramatically reduces construction time on the project.

Once the frame is erected, the houses are clad in traditional brick finishes, with pitched tile roofs and wooden double glazed window units.

The scheme is due for completion by October 2007.

Michael Manning, divisional director for ISG Jackson Special Projects, commented: "Over the past fifteen years we have witnessed significant change within social housing provision, culminating in our latest projects for Orbit, which combine cutting edge building techniques and embrace sustainable construction practices.".
