ISG Jackson Special Projects commence work on GBP2.6 million project for Citygate Developments on Link 47 Business Park at Longwater in Norfolk.

The contractor will construct two high specification industrial units and a two-storey commercial office building on the popular business estate The fast-track, 30-week build programme sees the construction of two steel frame industrial units, with curtain walling and brickwork facades and steel composite roofs

The new structures, one approximately 1,800 sq m and the other 700 sq m in size, have been designed with a flexible internal format to enable them to be easily subdivided into smaller units if desired in the future.

The larger unit will feature a two-storey storage area at one end of the building, with an office at the first floor level.

The separate two-storey commercial office building will be built on a plot close to an existing ambulance station, and will be traditionally constructed with brick and blockwork.

The high specification office boasts a full height glazed atrium, with feature solar shading panels and a pitched, tiled roof.

The building will provide majority open plan accommodation, with a number of meeting and training rooms across the first floor.

The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Iain Reid, managing director of Citygate Developments, based in Brundall, Norfolk, commented: "We are delighted to be working with ISG Jackson on this project, which is the start of development at Link 47, we are already seeing interest in the remaining land so hopefully we will be talking to ISG about more units in the near future".

Stuart Talbot, divisional director for ISG Jackson Special Projects, commented: "As a contractor specialising in low to medium value projects, we are often able to provide more responsive, flexible and cost effective solutions than larger competitors".

"Unlike many small regional contractors, we are also able to punch above our weight with outstanding health, safety, quality and environmental credentials, through the business infrastructure which we share with ISG Jackson.".
