Homes
Jewson has secured an exclusive contract to provide HandH Celcon aircrete blocks and VELUX roofLITE windows to Persimmon Homes.
The builders' merchant has been named as sole supplier of the materials, which will be supplied for 16,000 Persimmon properties scheduled to be built in 2008 Jewson's appointment follows a successful 10-year relationship with the developer, and provides a platform for Persimmon to reduce its costs through simplifying its procurement function

Builders' merchant Jewson has been named Supplier of the Year in Wales for the second consecutive year by Mowlem, the construction and support services group.
Jewson will supply HandH Celcon aircrete blocks to all Persimmon properties in a one-year deal worth GBP10 million.
In addition, the agreement is extended to include the specification of any aircrete blocks needed by Persimmon's groundworkers - either on a supply and fit or fit only basis - and will involve the delivery and monitoring of all products distributed to sub-contractors.
Jewson will also be introducing the VELUX RoofLITE window into its current product range, specifically brought in for Persimmon Homes.
The move demonstrates Jewson's commitment to Persimmon as it responds to the housebuilder's demand for a value range window.
