Now, following on from the European Directive 2000/55/EC which banned the use of low efficient, high loss magnetic ballasts of class D, from fluorescent fittings on November 21st.2005, bringing the implementation of the discontinuation of the installation of magnetic ballasts with moderate losses, class C, which continues the EU move away from less efficient ballasts, towards more efficient ones.
