The grade I listed English Heritage project featured a number of unused basement areas which were chosen to provide additional space within the building.

A Newton System 500 waterproofing system was designed and installed with Newton 508 Mesh waterproofing membrane.

The mesh meant that surface preparation was not required.

The basement area has been refurbished for use as a rest area with luxury bar and provides a habitable area to Grade 3 of the environmental table within BS8102.
