Newton waterproofing installed at Lime Kiln House

A John Newton and Co product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Oct 15, 2009

John Newton has provided an internal waterproofing system for a new build house at Lime Mill in Scotland.

A house that was planned for construction at the Lime Mill in Midloathian, had existing kilns which needed to be preserved in order for planning permission to be granted.

Once extensive preparation works were completed, the client began the construction of the home built into a sloping site to minimise the impact on the surrounding environment.

Newton System 500 overcame waterproofing issues for the construction.

An external system would have caused delays to the construction.

The internal John Newton system allowed the waterproofing to be installed in a dry environment eliminating the need for powered water removal.
