Newton damp proofing specified for listed property

A John Newton and Co product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 27, 2010

Newton 520 and Newlath 2000 from John Newton have been used to prevent damp in a luxury apartment conversion.

The single skin brick school building where the conversion took place, had been derelict with defective pointing, and as a result had lateral penetration of moisture across all elevations rendering it uninhabitable.

John Newton's 20mm stud membrane was applied to the floor areas of all basement areas to overcome any likelihood of water penetration.
