New Renoxtra boiler offers greater efficiency

A Johnson and Starley product story

The new Renoxtra boiler from Johnson and Starley features gas saver module for greater system efficiency

The Energy Saving Trust's new Domestic Low and Zero Carbon Technologies Guide (P1.3) is now at final draft stage.

A key point of the new document is that passive flue gas heat recovery systems are now included in the guide and it will therefore now include Johnson and Starley's renowned RenoXtra high efficiency combination condensing boiler.

The RenoXtra boiler is available in 30kW and 37kW models and each comes in a stylish one piece cabinet.

Each model features a gas saver module - a passive flue gas heat recovery system - built into its cabinet.

This provides additional system efficiency by re-cycling flue gas heat which would normally be wasted and expelled to the atmosphere.

Virtually all the energy from the incoming gas supply is extracted and reclaimed energy is stored in the unit before being used to pre-heat the incoming cold water.

This result is extra domestic hot water (DHW) efficiency, lower gas consumption and running costs as well as reduced carbon emissions.

The RenoXtra also qualifies for the appendix Q rating on the SAP database and its test results can be found at www.sap-appendixq.org.uk .

Copies of the new Energy Saving trust guide will be available from Johnson and Starley.
