Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 15, 2010

Johnson and Starley has introduced the A1003 and E1004 energy efficient fans to meet building regulations for this type of ventilation strategy.

Decentralised extract ventilation in the home requires the use of a continuously running extract fan in wet rooms including bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and toilets.

The A1003 and E1004 fans also meet this requirement.

Both models are silent running, three speed fans which are designed to run continuously and energy efficiently at one of a choice two lower speed settings, dependent upon installation requirements.

Users can then boost the fan speed to maximum performance when required.

The highly energy efficient E1004 is SAP Appendix Q Listed and is designed for wall and ceiling mounting with both mains and low voltage versions available.

The A1003 also has low energy requirements and also a different design to suit other types of installation.
