JB success at Ecobuild
Star of Ecobuild was the new JB Antislip Plus coloured inserts, specifically developed to provide a durable and slip-resistant surface, is now available in green, red, blue, buff and yellow.
Visitors to the Ecobuild show this year were keen to find out more about sustainable timber as a building material, which lead to a huge amount of interest and enquiries for John Brash and Company , the specialist timber importer and manufacturer The company, which has been trading for over a century, demonstrated its market leading range of roofing battens, Cedar Shingles and Shakes, exterior timber cladding, 'long length' carcassing and anti-slip timber decking

Shingles on medical centre - better by degrees

The new JB Antislip Plus coloured inserts is now available in green, red, blue, buff and yellow.
Specifically developed to provide a durable and slip-resistant surface, the new solid colour inserts offer an attractive alternative to the standard JB Antislip Plus grey insert.
In addition to providing a slip resistant surface, the new colours help to improve safety by drawing attention to changes in height, steps, slopes or perimeters.
Nigel Booth, Marketing Manager at John Brash, continues: "We had a huge amount of interest in our timber products, principally because of its sustainability characteristics but also because of the visual appeal".
"There is definitely a move back to timber as the building industry looks at ways to minimize its carbon footprint".
"We were extremely pleased with all the interest we had in the new coloured inserts too".
"In particular, customers seemed to like the fact that in addition to providing a slip resistant surface they could be used to visually enhance a decking area, especially where there would otherwise be large expanse of deck boards".
Timber is proving once again that it offers both sustainability and aesthetics.
The material is being used more in the building industry because of its thermal performance with the material having one of the lowest thermal conductivity levels of any material available.
Visitors to the John Brash stand also showed a huge amount of interest in the company's range of Western Red Cedar Shingles and Shakes which provide an ideal method of creating sustainable buildings.
Their lightweight nature, which allows savings to be made on the supporting structure, means that they provide an ideal alternative to heavy masonry based building materials.
