J P Naylor wins Taylor Woodrow Award

J P Naylor has become the first cast stone manufacturer to win the prestigious Taylor Woodrow Developments Manufacturer and Supplier of the Year Award.

The Awards, which are now in their third year, are open to all suppliers of the Taylor Woodrow Group and judges include both internal and external representatives.

The awards are based on value, simplicity and reliability and are presented to those companies who demonstrate that they have enhanced Taylor Woodrow's reputation and overall business performance.

This is the first time that a cast stone manufacturer has won this award and J.P.

Naylor achieved the accolade for its innovative new products and outstanding service performance.

Over the last two years several new products have been introduced that demonstrate J.P.

Naylor's commitment to providing solutions to practical problems on site with lighter weights and superior product development.

Other factors were also taken into account such as holding standard stone components in stock and the implementation of a Visa Purchasing scheme to process urgent orders.

J P Naylor was one of the first suppliers to pioneer with Taylor Woodrow the development of an e-commerce system.

This involvement has led to the in-house development of new quotation software that incorporates Taylor Woodrow stock codes.

Both businesses have enjoyed mutual efficiencies as a result of trading electronically.

Founded in 1985, J P Naylor was formed to meet the needs of the UK's major blue- chip house builders.

The business has grown year on year to the point where it is now one of the largest cast stone manufacturers in the UK.

The Company has three factories, strategically located close to the motorway network in the Midlands.

The product ranges offered include dry and wet cast stone together with GRC components and lightweight brick-effect pre-formed arches.
