Kaba appoint Clive Baker to head up and develop its safe and container lock business.

Kaba announce the new appointment of Clive Baker to head up and develop its safe and container lock business.

Kaba's Safelock division boasts the Cencon, Auditcon and LC series of safelocks and its range of Combination locks that fit a multitude of applications and have made Kaba a world leader in safe and container locks.

Clive brings with him a wealth of experience built up over his 16 years in the security on industry.

He joined ASSA in 1990 and steadily built and established their high security locking business in the central government, institutional and telecommunication market sectors.

During his time with ASSA the business grew from an annual turnover of £2 million to just over £10 million when he left in 2001 to take up a senior position at Guardian Security Group .

During his 5 years at Guardian, Clive is the first to admit that Guardian provided him with a very steep learning curve with it's breadth and range of products ranging from CCTV systems through to Steel door installations and everything in between! Clive also comments that his time at Guardian has given him a valuable perspective of the security market from a distribution point of view as well as from a manufacturers view point experienced from his time at ASSA .

Clive joins Kaba to head up and develop the safe and container lock business but will be looking for opportunities to introduce other Kaba Group products into pre defined market sectors which will include Central Government, the utility and telecommunications sectors together with OEM sectors and the Safe locking distribution network.

Clive comments that he has always recognised and respected the Kaba organisation for its ability to listen to the market and come up with innovative security solutions the recently introduced 'Gateshield' being a prime example.

To now be part of that organisation is something he relishes and looks forward to the new challenges and making a significant contribution to the business.
