New entrance protects plants from the elements

Kaba Door Systems has installed a grand new entrance to provide environmental control at Bridgemere Garden World, one of the UK's largest nurseries and garden centres.

Leading door manufacturer and supplier Kaba Door Systems, has installed a grand new entrance to provide environmental control at Bridgemere Garden World, near Nantwich in Cheshire - one of the UK's largest nurseries and garden centres.

As part of the redevelopment of Bridgemere's retail premises, Kaba installed a 4.8m diameter Talos RDR-MO1 two-wing revolving door to the main entrance of the houseplant area.

By replacing the existing sliding doors, the new revolving door helps to maintain a constant temperature and draught-free environment to keep the plants healthy.

Kaba was awarded the revolving door contract having completed a series of automatic door installations across the six acre site.

The job was the first installation of this product and of this size in the UK, and a co-operation between Kaba's turnstile and revolving door division and North West regional office.

Steven Holmes, site services manager at Bridgemere Garden World comments: "We're really pleased with the installation.

The revolving door now helps us to ensure a constant temperature for our houseplants all year round, whatever the weather.

The door has also created an impressive entrance, which complements the redevelopment work taking place here at Bridgemere".
