Kaba helps trust to improve energy efficiency

Kaba Door Systems complete double sliding automatic door installation at main entrance to West Suffolk Hospital Trust hospital.

Kaba have installed double sliding automatic doors to the main entrance which provides fast, reliable access.

Following the successful sliding door installation, Kaba have installed its new Air-Gate system to the main entrance automatic doors.

Kaba's revolutionary Air-Gate system uses 80 percent less energy than conventional air curtain systems.

Unlike traditional systems, which permanently blow hot or cold air down into the doorway, the Air-Gate is activated when the door is opened and uses only air at room temperature.

Kaba were asked to fit the Air-gate as part of the Trusts initiative to save on energy costs and reduce the hospitals carbon emissions each year.

Paul Bradley of the Hospitals Facilities Directorate said "We are delighted with Kaba's installations".

"The hospital is an extremely busy environment with high volumes of traffic which include wheelchair users and it is imperative that we have easy, reliable access".
