The new conventional World Series wall and detector base sounders from KAC are exceptionally easy to install, have a choice of four different tones, can be configured as single or two-stage devices and are extremely efficient.

Typical current draw is less than 12mA and the output level is 103dB(A) for the wall-mounted device and 97dB(A) for the detector base sounder, depending on the tone.

Designed to meet EN54 Part 3 and with LPCB approval imminent, the new devices, whilst offering significant performance improvements, are backwards compatible with the previous three-tone versions.

The tones primarily for the UK market are a continuous 800Hz tone, and an intermittent 800Hz at 1Hz tone.

For applications in continental Europe, the two further tones are available, which include the Dutch "slow whoop" tone.

All tones are easily selected during installation and both types are fitted with a three-position volume control, enabling the output level to be attenuated if required.

For the installer, the large screw terminations accept 2.5mm2 cables, and with plenty of space for cabling, on-site time is minimised; for the end user, highly integrated electronics increase reliability.

Designed and manufactured in the company's UK facility, the new World Series sounders are a cost-effective, high quality output device for use in 12V security systems or 24V fire protection systems.
